Lhaptse Celebrations ལབ་ཙེ་བསྟོད་པའི་བྱ་འགུལ།
"Victory to the Gods! Lha Gya Lo!"
In Tibetan areas, each clan, village and region has its own celebrated lhaptse, a mountain top that is the home of a particular local deity. This deity, seen as a friend, offers protection to the area and its people. Once a year, the members of the clan or village assemble to pay tribute to this deity, circling this sacred area on top of their prized horses. Horse races and various local games - more recently including basketball tournaments - follow the morning prayers and can continue for as long as three days.
བོད་ཡུལ་དུ་སྡེ་བ་དང་ཚོ་བ། རང་གི་ས་ཁུལ་ཚང་མར་མཆོད་བཀུར་བསྟོད་གསུམ་བྱེད་པའི་གཞི་བདག་རེ་ཡོད་ལ། དེ་ནི་མཐོན་པོ་རི་ལ་གནས་པའི་འཇིག་རྟེན་པའི་ལྷ་མཐུ་བོ་ཆེ་ཞིག་ལ་ངོས་འཛིན། འཇིག་རྟེན་པའི་ལྷ་ནི་རང་གི་གྲོགས་པོ་བཞིན་ཚེ་འདིའི་དགྲ་འདུལ་གཉེན་སྐྱོང་གི་བྱ་བར་མགོན་སྐྱབས་དང་དཔུང་གཉེན་མཛད། ལོ་རེ་རེའི་འཆར་ཅན་ལྟར་སྡེ་བའི་སྟག་ཤར་ཡོངས་ཀྱིས་རྟ་ཞོན་ནས་རི་ལ་འཛེགས་ཤིང་གཞི་བདག་ལ་གསོལ་མཆོད་དང་མདའ་བསྟོད། རླུང་རྟ་བསྐུར་བའི་སྲོལ་རྨ་མེད་པ་ཡོད་ལ། དེ་དང་བསྟུན་ནས། བུ་རྟ་འཁོར་གསུམ་གྱིས་ཀི་བསོ་ལྷ་རྒྱལ་གྱི་ང་རོ་དང་བཅས་ཏེ་གཞི་བདག་གི་ངོ་སོ་དགུང་ལ་བསྟོད་བཞིན་ཡོད། གཞན་ཡང་ལབ་ཙེ་བསྟོད་ཞོར་ལ། ཡུལ་ཕྱོགས་སྤྱིའི་ཁ་རྗེ་དབང་ཐང་དང་མཐུན་སྒྲིལ་ཡར་ཐོན་གྱི་བྱ་བར་དམིགས་ནས་ས་གནས་ཀྱི་རྟ་རྒྱུག་དང་ལུས་རྩལ་སོགས་ཉིན་ཁ་ཤས་ལ་སྤེལ་བའི་སྲོལ་ཡང་ཡོད།
